Tu B’shvat

Jewish tradition marks Tu B’shvat as “the birthday of the trees.” This, plus the fact that this is the only time of year we focus on the shivat ha’minim (seven plant species declared as sacred to Israel in the Torah) makes Tu B’shvat the perfect holiday to teach our learners about Israel through the lens of the environment.
